Buenos Aires, January 30 (NA) – A 29-year-old man was detained after remaining a fugitive in the framework of a case investigating alleged simple sexual abuse against his stepdaughter. Police sources informed the Argentine News Agency that the incidents would have occurred between May 2021 and May 2022, in a house in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Balvanera, where the accused maintained a romantic relationship with the minor's mother, who was 4 years old at the time. The accused took advantage of moments when he was alone with the victim to commit the sexual attacks, while the girl's father filed the complaint after observing strange attitudes in his daughter. The minor testified in Cámara Gesell and the case was elevated to trial by the Oral Criminal and Correctional Court No. 25, but the individual went into hiding. Judge Marcelo Romero ordered the pertinent capture, for which officers from the Federal Police's Fugitive Search Division carried out various investigative tasks to locate the fugitive. The officers verified that the suspect was hiding in a home in the Buenos Aires locality of Wilde, party of Avellaneda, and carried out his arrest.
